Editorial illustrations for an article in DATUM about rare earths mining in Sweden that may threaten reindeer routes of the Sámi indigenous people.

Working on this project was a lot of fun. I had to search through a lot of images of the town of Kiruna, Sweden, and its surrounding landscapes (that includes "taking trips" via Google Earth); learn more about the Sámi people and their culture; and, of course, draw reindeer!
